When do you need a Fit Note or Sickness Certificate?
We do not issue Fit Notes for the first 7 days of any illness as you are able to self-certify during this period.
If you have been ill for more than 7 days you will need a GP Certificate – these are called “Fitness to Work” Certificates. If you have already seen a GP about a sickness certificate this should be available within a week.

- Have already seen one of our doctors or
- Are requesting an additional Sick / Fit note
We will contact you to let you know when your Note is ready for collection, of if we need you to book an appointment or call the doctor.
